Welcome to Traveling Shoes Press – a collaboration between Tania Leysen and Jon Christopher.
Traveling Shoes Press has been designing and publishing books in Southern California for over twenty years now! We started in our little apartment in Long Beach and eventually moved to a rural cabin amongst the boulders in Pioneertown in 2013. We now find ourselves in Joshua Tree and have no plans of ever leaving the inspiring surroundings of the hi-desert.
Having both grown up in book-loving families, (Jon’s house looked like more like a library than a house!) we both have an appreciation for the physicality of holding an actual paper book in our hands. Our shelves are full of books, we are surrounded by piles of our favorites, and we love sharing books with our friends we think they might enjoy…
Participating in the process of manuscripts being turned into printed books never ceases to amaze us. Over the years we’ve been honored to work with Jean-Paul L. Garnier, Uli Boege, Gabriel Hart, Mark Leysen, Nora Novak and many more – turning their author dreams into reality!
