Dorothy Baker is an artist and writer who now lives in Yucca Valley, California, which may be the unsailed sea she speaks about in this memoir. Dorothy’s search for identity through some 35 years of her adventures takes the reader from her being the wife of a filmmaker in Studio City, CA, to Medfield, MA, to Cornville, AZ, to divorce and companioning with an extraordinary artist and moving to Mountainair, NM. Seventeen years later when her companion made his transition from the planet, she moved to New York City to be with her daughter. Baker fell into the schedule and sophistication of the city with alacrity, yet her heart kept telling her to return to the west. A deep sense of inner guidance kept her afloat during those topsy-turvy years. She would like to think that her story can help others on their journeys.
